My Violet.
You’ve been stuck inside all day today while your big brother sleeps off the tummy bug that hit him hard and fast last night.
Every few minutes you’ll run off and check on him, often taking your doctors bag and stethoscope that has come with you everywhere since you opened it on Christmas morning.
He plays along, in his tired and weary state. Lifting up his shirt each time you ask to listen to his chest.
“I’m going to make him feel better” you tell me.
And from the way his eyes light up when he sees you sneak in to the room,
I’m quite sure that you do.
